Specific Search
With the function Specific Search you can look for entries and information in WebGenesis. By selecting the link Search in the index frame or the menu Search in the authoring environment the following search page appears:
Terms: |
In this field you can enter one or more search expressions, separated
by blanks (logical AND). If the term consists of more then one word,
it has to be written in quotation marks (e.g. "public area") For the specific search you can use keywords out of the WebGenesis ![]() Depending on your WebGenesis installation there may be further options. See Special Features for further information. |
Creator: | In the authoring environment, you can restrict the search by selecting a Creator. |
Category: |
With this option the search can be restricted to a certain information
category (directory, document, discussion forum,...). Example: by selecting the category address book and leaving the field terms empty, the search will list all address books (for which you have access rights). |
Sort by: | For a better overall view the results can be arranged by category, date or creator. |
The search starts after clicking the button search. The system only
finds those for entries matching all search criteria. The results are
listed in the presentation frame.
Select the checkbox "Only search in ..." to search only in this
folder.
A click on the link New Window shows the list in a separate window.
