User management

Users with super user-rights may create and change new groups or users within the User/ Management menu.

user administration

Group hierarchy is visualized by a group tree (similar to the navigator's entry tree).
Meaning of the elements:

Group symbol - if you click on this symbol only this group will be displayed.
User symbol - only marker.
Expanding symbol - if you click on this symbol view will be changed from group to group tree.
name Group or user name - if you click on the name (e. g. "moses") a context menu with further functions will appear.
(id) Group or user number - unique identity number

If you click on a name in the group tree a context menu will be displayed. You have following options:

Edit If having clicked on group names, names and language preferences can be edited. Additionally, you can navigate to the input mask Edit address.
If having clicked on user names, you can decide whether you want to deactivate the user account. A deactivated user cannot log in to the system any more. If a deactivated user tries to log in, the login input mask appears in combination with the message:
This user is deactivated. You may use another user account or press the Back button in your browser.
Furthermore, you can give other users super user-rights. These rights can be applied to specific entries or entry trees. Rights for entries override rights for groups. Non-existing Ids are ignored.
Add user You can add users to groups. You cannot add users to users.
The input mask for adding users corresponds to the input mask for editing users.
Add groups You can add groups and subgroups. You cannot add groups or subgroups to users.
The input mask for adding users corresponds to the input mask for editing groups.
Benutzerverwaltung

You will see this input mask if you add or edit users.

After having clicked the Save button your changes will be saved.

Note: Because of security reasons, users and groups cannot be deleted by using a browser (client-side). Duplicating and moving is not possible either.
